Magic wavelengths of the Sr ( 5s2 S01 – 5s5p P13 ) intercombination transition near the 5s5p P13 – 5p2 P23 transition

Predicting magic wavelengths accurately requires precise knowledge of electric-dipole matrix elements nearby atomic transitions. As a result, measurements allow us to test theoretical predictions for the that frequently can not be probed by any other methods. Here, we calculate and measure wavelength near $473$ nm $5s^2\,^1\!S_0 - 5s5p\,^3\!P_1$ intercombination transition ${}^{88}$Sr. Experimentally, find $473.361(4)$ $\Delta m=0$ ($\pi$ transition) $473.133(14)$ m=-1$ ($\sigma^{-}$ transition). Theoretical calculations yield $473.375(22)$~nm $473.145(20)$ nm, respectively. The $^3\!P_1$ polarizability is dominated contributions $5p^2\, ^3\!P$ levels excellent agreement theory experiment validates both values these estimates their uncertainties.

Stable dicentric autosome, tdic (8:22)(p23:p13), in a mentally retarded girl.

A dicentric autosome, tdic(8:22)(p23:p13), was found in all metaphase cells examined from the peripheral blood of a mentally retarded girl. It is suggested that the centromere of chromosome 22 was inactive, allowing the dicentric to behave as a monocentric element. The involvement of acrocentric chromosomes in the stable dicentric autosomes of man is discussed.
